Despite finishing second in the American Idol contest and losing to Kris Allen, his fellow contestant in the singing competition, Adam Lambert chooses to stay positive. It doesn’t matter first or second to me, Lambert said. I had a chance to sing with two of the greatest heroic rock bands. It felt great. I got the chance to sing with KISS and Queen.

Lambert also said that the result didn’t surprise him. I knew the race would be close, said Adam. Kris is very talented and also a very good person. To me we knew it would be close. So whatever happens, just happens. We had made it that far. We got a chance to do a very cool finale show. We will both be able to do a lot of great things in the future.

Lambert continued, it not really for me about what happened that night. It’s all about tomorrow. What happens next. I just know we will right away start working on music. That is what I really can’t wait to get going on. To co-write, write, collaborate and create visuals to go along with music also. It will be very exciting.

Kris Allen accepted his award as the American Idol winner of the eight season very humbly. After hearing himself named as the new American Idol, onstage he said, this feels good.
